This Christmas, a young Aston Villa fan has plenty to celebrate. The best Aston Villa Christmas gifts tap into that excitement without adding yet another replica shirt to the drawer. This guide covers stocking fillers, the main present, and a gift idea that brings two generations of Villa fans together.
What are the best Aston Villa Christmas gifts for kids?
The best Aston Villa Christmas gifts for kids are personal rather than practical. Most young Villans already own the claret and blue shirt, so more merchandise is unlikely to be the present they remember.
A gift with their own name, their likeness and a story where they play for Villa stands apart. It is the one thing nobody else at school will have.
From Rotterdam to Istanbul
Aston Villa have given their fans two unforgettable European nights, and chances are the family has one of each.
In 1982, Villa beat Bayern Munich 1-0 in Rotterdam to win the European Cup, with Peter Withe scoring the winner. Plenty of grandparents will remember it. Then in May 2026, Villa beat Freiburg 3-0 in Istanbul to win the Europa League, with goals from Youri Tielemans, Emiliano Buendía and Morgan Rogers. That night ended a 30-year wait for a trophy.
That makes this a lovely Christmas for a grandparent to give a Villa gift. Write about both nights in the inside-cover message, from the Villa fan who saw Rotterdam to the one who will remember Istanbul forever.
A few messages to adapt:
- “From Grandad, who cheered Peter Withe’s winner in 1982, to Oliver, who watched Villa win in Istanbul. Happy Christmas.”
- “Two European nights, two generations, one club. Merry Christmas from Nanna.”
- “Up the Villa, Sophie. Here’s to the next trophy, and to you scoring the winner. Love, Grandma and Grandpa.”
Keep it short, use their name and add the year, so the book remembers this season as well as they will.
Which Aston Villa stocking fillers work for a young fan?
Good Aston Villa stocking fillers are small, named and under about £15. A few that suit a young Villan:
- A claret and blue water bottle with their name on it
- A lion-themed keyring, a nod to the club crest
- A named bag tag for the school bag
- A pocket history book, so they can learn that Villa director William McGregor founded the Football League in 1888

What is the best main Aston Villa Christmas present?
The best main Aston Villa Christmas present is a personalised storybook where your child plays for Villa and wins the day. In this book, they are not reading about the star player. They are the star player.
Choose their name, their look and their club. We do the rest, personalised down to their eye colour, with your own message printed on the inside cover. The story runs to around 28 pages, all hand-drawn by a real artist. You can personalise their storybook in a few minutes.
How easy is it to personalise?
Personalising the book takes a few minutes and needs no special know-how. Pick Aston Villa, type the child’s first name and surname, choose a boy or girl hero, and match their hair colour, skin tone and eye colour.
Finally, add your inside-cover message. Shopping for several children who support different clubs? Our Christmas football gifts guide covers every team we make.
When should you order Aston Villa Christmas gifts?
Order Aston Villa Christmas gifts in November, not the week before. We print and pack every book ourselves, in-house, to your choices, so each one needs a proper lead time.
Double-check the name spelling before you pay. Changes are easy before we print and much harder after.
Is a personalised Aston Villa gift official?
No. Our storybook is not officially licensed by Aston Villa FC. It is a personalised, football-themed story in the spirit of fan art, so check the product page if a licence matters to you.
For birthdays and the rest of the year, our Aston Villa gifts guide has more ideas. For children who support other teams, the same book runs across our personalised football books: every league, not just the big six.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it a good Christmas gift for a girl who supports Aston Villa? Yes. You choose the hero’s gender and look, so it works just as well for a daughter, granddaughter or niece, and our Ladies Range keeps growing.
What is inside the book? Around 28 pages, hand-illustrated throughout, with your child as the Villa hero, a personalised cover and your own message printed inside.
How late can I order for Christmas? As early as you can. Because we print each book to order, leaving it until the final days risks missing the Christmas post, so November is the safe window.
